Section LIII-701 - DefinitionA. A pharmacy intern is an individual who is not yet licensed as a pharmacist in any jurisdiction, and is: 1. engaged in the practice of pharmacy while under the direct and immediate supervision of a pharmacist for the purpose of obtaining practical experience for licensure as a pharmacist, and is satisfactorily progressing in a board-approved college of pharmacy; or2. a graduate of a board-approved college of pharmacy awaiting examination for licensure; or3. a graduate who has established educational equivalency through a program approved by the board; or4. an individual participating in a residency or fellowship.La.
