Section VII-995 - AppealsA. Any applicant for disability benefits pursuant to R.S. 29:26.1 who was denied may request an appeal of the department's decision by filing a written request for review of the decision by the secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs or his designee.B. Written requests for appeal must be filed with the secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs or his designee within 30 days from the notice of denial and must contain the name and mailing address of the applicant, a clear statement of the reasons for the appeal, and any documents supporting the reasons for appeal.C.
