Section XIII-10325 - Breakdown of MachinesA. In the event of an irreparable breakdown of the totalizator, or the ticket issuing machine, or both, during the wagering on a race, the wagering for that race shall be declared closed. The payoff for that race shall be computed on the sums wagered in each pool up to the time of the breakdown. Wagering on the remaining races for that day, or until the next race after the defective machinery has been put in order, may be continued by employing the manual system of ticket selling. To cover this contingency it is suggested that each association shall have on hand at the beginning of a race day approved mutuel tickets for hand selling sufficient for not less than seven races.La.
