Section XV-301 - Purpose and ScopeA. This Chapter and Chapters 7, 13, and 15 provide for the licensing of radioactive material. No person shall manufacture, produce, receive, possess, use, transfer, own, or acquire byproduct material except as authorized in a specific or general license issued pursuant to this Chapter or as otherwise provided in these regulations.B. In addition to the requirements of this Chapter, all licenses are subject to the requirements of Chapters 1, 4, 10, and 15. Licensees engaged in industrial radiographic operations are subject to the requirements of Chapter 5 and licensees using radionuclides in the healing arts are subject to the requirements of Chapter 7. Licensees with analytical X-ray equipment or particle accelerators may also be subject to the requirements of Chapters 8 and 9, respectively, and licensees engaged in wireline and subsurface tracer studies are subject to the requirements of Chapter 20. Licensees engaged with Naturally Occurring Radioactive Materials (NORM) may also be subject to the requirements of Chapter 14.La. Admin. Code tit. 33, § XV-301
