Section XV-212 - Reciprocal Recognition of Out-of-State Radiation MachinesA. Temporary Use. Whenever any radiation machine is to be brought into Louisiana for any temporary use: 1. the person proposing to bring such machine into the state shall give written notice to the Office of Environmental Compliance at least three working days before such machine is to be used in the state. Additional requirements for work involving industrial radiography at temporary job sites may be found in LAC 33:XV.Chapter 5. The notice shall include: a. the type of radiation machine;b. the nature, duration, and scope of use; andc. the exact location(s) where the radiation machine is to be used;2. if, for a specific case, the three-working-day period would impose an undue hardship on the person, upon written application to the Office of Environmental Compliance permission to proceed sooner may be granted.B. The person referred to in LAC 33:XV.212.A shall:1. comply with the Louisiana Radiation Regulations; and2. supply the department with such other information as the department may reasonably request.La.
