Section VI-105 - Compliance with Other LawsA. Nothing herein shall be construed to diminish the department's authority to address the presence at any site of any hazardous substance, hazardous waste, hazardous waste constituent, or other pollutant or contaminant under other applicable laws or regulations. The remediation and enforcement processes and procedures under these regulations and under other laws may be combined. The department may initiate a remedial action under these regulations and may, upon further analysis, determine that another law is more appropriate or vice versa.B. If a hazardous substance, hazardous waste, hazardous waste constituent, or other pollutant or contaminant remains at a site after actions have been completed under other applicable laws or regulations, the department may apply these regulations to protect human health or the environment.La.
