Section V-2913 - Special Requirements for Ignitable or Reactive WasteA. Ignitable or reactive waste must not be placed in a surface impoundment, unless the waste and impoundment satisfy all applicable requirements of LAC 33:V.Chapter 22, and: 1. the waste is treated, rendered, or mixed before or immediately after placement in the impoundment so that: a. the resulting waste, mixture, or dissolution of material no longer meets the definition of ignitable or reactive waste under the definition of ignitability or reactivity in LAC 33:V.4903.B or D; andb. LAC 33:V.1517 is complied with; or for interim status facilities;2. the waste is managed in such a way that it is protected from any material or conditions which may cause it to ignite or react; or3. the surface impoundment is used solely for emergencies.La.
