Section CXIII-2303 - Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS)A. All school buses shall meet or exceed the minimum requirements of all applicable FMVSS as found in 49 CFR 571.B. All school buses shall be equipped as required by applicable FMVSS.C. In addition to FMVSS regulations, school buses used to transport students to and from school and school-related activities must meet the school bus body, chassis or equipment that meet the latest revised minimum standards for school buses adopted and recommended by the National Conference on School Transportation, sponsored by the National Council of Chief State School Officers, the American Association of School Administrators, NEA, the Department of Rural Education, and the U.S. Office of Education.
