Section CXI-2303 - IntroductionA. ELDA is composed of tests in four grade clusters (Kindergarten-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12) in the four language domains (reading, writing, listening, and speaking). It assesses both the academic and school/social environment language of students. ELDA is vertically linked across grade clusters and has five levels of proficiency descriptors ranging from level 1, which has a realistic definition of English proficiency for beginners, to level 5, which has a rigorous definition of full English proficiency.La.
