Section CVII-1301 - FocusA. The Communities Strand focuses on the application of the knowledge of Latin or Greek to wider linguistic and cultural communities. Knowledge of Latin or Greek enables students to develop a full understanding and appreciation of classical influences in today's world as they encounter other cultures. Understanding Greco-Roman culture provides students with a basis for interpreting events of the modern world. The tools of technology and telecommunication provide links to the resources of the worldwide classical community.
