Section XV-1929 - Civil PenaltiesA. The commissioner, in his discretion, may assess a civil penalty against a person that violates the VCBA or any rule promulgated pursuant to the VCBA, or any order issued by the commissioner pursuant thereto, not to exceed $1,000 for each violation, plus the department's costs and expenses for the investigation and prosecution of the matter, including reasonable attorney's fees.La.
