Section 44-11-129 - Unexpended funds
(a) Unexpended funds may be transferred by the secretary to another county or counties. Any county may make application to the secretary for the unexpended funds. The county shall provide the secretary with a statement of why the funds are necessary, documentation of need, a budget summary and narrative describing the proposed services, and, if the funds are for a new program, a listing of measurable goals and objectives. The county shall be notified by the secretary of approval or disapproval of the application within 60 calendar days after the application due date.
(b) Any community corrections agency may use approved unexpended funds to maintain or enhance current funded services or to support or enhance agency operations, or any combination of these uses as specified in the application.
