Section 28-35-274 - Applicability

(a) The regulations in this part shall apply to all persons who utilize sources of radiation for industrial radiography, except those persons who are licensed or registered in the state of Kansas to engage in the practice of the healing arts, dentistry, podiatry, or veterinary medicine. The requirements of this part shall be in addition to, and not in substitution for, the other requirements of these regulations.

(b) The requirements of K.A.R. 28-35-275, K.A.R. 28-35-277a, K.A.R. 28-35-279, K.A.R. 28-35-280, K.A.R. 28-35-287, and K.A.R. 28-35-291 shall apply to sealed radioactive sources only. The requirements of the other regulations in this part shall apply to both radiation machines and sealed radioactive sources.
