An appointing authority may grant leave with pay to an employee in a regular position upon the death of a close relative. Such leave shall in no case exceed six working days. The employee's relationship to the deceased and necessary travel time shall be among the factors considered in determining whether to grant funeral or death leave and if so, the amount of leave to be granted. This regulation shall be effective on and after December 17, 1995.
