Rule 875-1.99 - Interest

The commissioner may assess and collect interest on fees, penalties, and other amounts due the division. Interest shall accrue from the first of the month following the date when payment was due. If it becomes necessary to initiate legal actions to recover the money, the commissioner may recover court costs and attorney fees in addition to the interest. The interest rate shall be 10 percent per annum.
