Rule 571-15.6 - Refund or change requests for special deer and turkey hunting licenses and general licenses(1)Death of licensee. The fee for a deer or turkey hunting license will be refunded to the licensee's estate when a licensee's death predates the season for which the license was issued and a written request from the licensee's spouse, executor or estate administrator is received by the department within 90 days of the last date of the season for which the license was issued.(2)Military duty. The fee for a deer or turkey hunting license will be refunded if the licensee is a member of the armed forces and is either deployed or activated for a national or state emergency during the season for which the license was issued. A written refund request must be received by the department within 90 days of the last date of the season for which the license was issued.(3)License changes. The department will attempt to change a licensee's choice of season or type of license if a written request is received by the licensing section prior to the start of the established season.(4)Other refund requests. Except as previously described in this rule, the department will not issue refunds for any licenses.Iowa Admin. Code r. 571-15.6
