Rule 567-71.5 - Waste or water treatment facilities

Approval by the department for construction, operation, and maintenance of waste or water treatment facilities shall be required in the following instances.

(1)Rural areas. In rural areas, any such facilities on the flood plains or floodway of any river or stream draining more than 10 square miles.

(2)Urban areas. In urban areas, any such facilities on the flood plain or floodway of any river or stream draining more than 2 square miles.
