Approval by the department for construction, repair, or modification of any dam shall be required when the dam exceeds the thresholds under rule 567-73.3 (455B). Other structures across a stream may require approval under rule 567-71.12 (455B).
This rule is intended to implement Iowa Code sections 455B.262, 455B.264, 455B.267, 455B.275 and 455B.277.
