Rule 491-12.12 - Computer recording requirements and monitoring of slot machines(1) A facility shall have an online monitoring and control system connected to each slot machine in the casino to record and monitor the slot machine's activities.(2) The online monitoring and control system shall be designed and operated to automatically perform the functions relating to slot machine meters in the casino as follows: a. Record the number and total of currency placed in the slot machine for the purpose of activating play.b. Record the number and total of currency in the container(s).c. Record the number and total of currency to be paid manually as the result of a jackpot.d. Record the electronic meter information required by 491-paragraph 11.10(2)"c. "(3) The online monitoring and control system shall monitor and detect machine exception codes and error messages as required by 491-paragraph 11.10(2) "d. "(4) The online monitoring and control system shall store in machine-readable form all information required by subrules 12.12(2) and 12.12(3), and the stored data shall not be susceptible to change or removal.(5) The licensee shall maintain a current log, accessible to commission representatives, of all changes and updates made to the online monitoring and control system that affect any part of the system's message digest. These changes and updates shall be approved as required by 491-subrule 11.4(1).Iowa Admin. Code r. 491-12.12
