Rule 129-6.7 - Legal representation

Parties in a contested case have the right to participate or to be represented in all hearings or prehearing conferences related to their case. Business entities, such as partnerships, corporations, or associations may be represented by a nonlawyer partner, member, officer, director, shareholder, other owner or manager, or duly authorized agent. Any party may be represented by an attorney or another person authorized by law. The attorney shall file an appearance in the contested case. If the attorney is not licensed to practice law in Iowa, the attorney shall comply with Iowa Court Rule 31.14. The cost of any such representation shall be borne by the represented party.
