Section 844 IAC 12-5-2 - Confidentiality

Sec. 2.

A hypnotist or hypnotherapist shall maintain the confidentiality of all knowledge and information regarding a patient, including, but not limited to, the following:

(1) The patient's diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis.
(2) All records relating to the patient about which the practitioner may learn or otherwise be informed during the course of, or as a result of, the patient-practitioner relationship.

Information about a patient shall be disclosed by a hypnotist or hypnotherapist when required by law or when authorized by the patient or those responsible for the patient's care.
