Sec. 31.1.
As used in this rule, "residential care facility", also referred to as assisted living facility and alternate care facility, means a facility that:
(1) provides twenty-four (24) hour a day care and services sufficient to support needs resulting from an inability to perform activities of daily living or cognitive impairment;(2) has a trained and ready to respond employee on duty in the facility at all times to provide care;(3) provides three (3) meals a day and accommodates special dietary needs;(4) has written contractual arrangements or otherwise ensures that residents receive the medical care services of a physician or nurse in case of emergency; and(5) has appropriate methods and procedures for the handling and administration of prescribed medications and treatments.
