Sec. 3.
The following definitions apply throughout this article:
(1) "Building code" means the Indiana Building Code (675 IAC 13) in effect on the date that the outdoor event equipment is first installed at any location in Indiana.(2) "Chapters 26, 29, 30, and 31 and Section 1.2.1 of ASCE 7" means the documents incorporated by reference in 675 IAC 29-2-2. (3) "Commission" means the fire prevention and building safety commission created pursuant to IC 22-12-2. (4) "Competent person" means an individual who, through education, training, and experience, is capable of performing the periodic inspections of outdoor event equipment required under this article.(5) "Division" means the division of fire and building safety of the Indiana department of homeland security created pursuant to IC 10-19-2.(6) "Inspection authority" means the division, the local building official authorized under IC 36-7-2-9 and local ordinance, and the local fire department authorized under IC 36-8-17-8.(7) "Owner" means the person that holds title to the real estate on which the outdoor event equipment is located.(8) "Scenic components" means decorative components of outdoor event equipment that are not directly connected to the audio, lighting, or video systems in the outdoor event equipment.
