Section 655 IAC 4-3-43 - Fire and Emergency Services Instructor I

Sec. 43.

(a) The certification standard for Fire and Emergency Services Instructor I shall be as set forth in Chapter 4 of the NFPA 1041, Standard for Fire and Emergency Services Instructor Professional Qualifications, 2019 edition.
(b) To qualify for entry into a certification course based on the certification standard described in subsection (a), an individual must hold a certification in Firefighter II for at least one (1) year prior to the date the certification course begins.
(c) A Fire and Emergency Services Instructor I certification expires two (2) years after the date of its issuance unless it is renewed before expiration.
(d) To be eligible to renew the certification described in subsection (c), an individual must comply with the:
(1) continuing education requirements; and
(2) certification renewal request submission requirements; described in this article.
