Section 511 IAC 7-32-83 - "Serious bodily injury" defined

Sec. 83.

"Serious bodily injury" has the meaning given the term "serious bodily injury" under 18 U.S.C. 1365(h)(3). The term means bodily injury that involves:

(1) a substantial risk of death;

(2) extreme physical pain;

(3) protracted and obvious disfigurement; or

(4) protracted loss or impairment of the function of a bodily member, organ, or mental faculty.
