Section 50 IAC 9-1-8 - Appropriation in earlier year than planned

Sec. 8.

The department of local government finance may approve appropriations from the capital projects fund only if they conform to a plan that has been adopted in accordance with IC 20-46-6. If a school corporation seeks approval of an additional appropriation from the capital projects fund for an expenditure in a year that precedes the year in which the expenditure is indicated in the plan, the department of local government finance may find that the appropriation conforms to the plan if:

(1) the plan is specific as to the need to be addressed by the proposed expenditure and as to the manner in which it will be addressed; and

(2) the school corporation additional appropriation notice under IC 6-1.1-18-5 includes the fund name, the department of education project number (if issued), and a description of the purpose of the proposed expenditure.
