Sec. 8.
(a) In addition to the one thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500) in liquid assets allowed the resident receiving a resident living allowance, the agency may establish an emergency fund of not more than one thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500) for each individual to provide money for unexpected or unusual costs associated with assuring the maintenance of the person in the program.
