Section 410 IAC 6-8.3-44 - "Soil horizon" defined

Sec. 44.

"Soil horizon" means a layer of soil or soil material approximately parallel to the land surface and differing from adjacent genetically related layers in physical, chemical, and biological properties or characteristics such as:

(1) color;

(2) structure;

(3) texture;

(4) consistence;

(5) kinds and numbers of organisms present; and

(6) degree of acidity or alkalinity.
