Section 326 IAC 13-1.1-15 - Motor vehicle emission inspectors; certification

Sec. 15.

(a) In order to perform official inspections, all inspectors shall be certified through a program of training and testing approved by the department.

(b) Inspector certificates shall be valid for no more than one (1) year. Refresher training and testing shall be required prior to renewal. Alternative approaches based on more comprehensive skill examination and determination of inspector competency may be used with the approval of the department.

(c) The department may suspend, revoke, or deny renewal of an inspector's certificate if the inspector fails to adhere to program requirements.
