Section 140 IAC 7-3-10 - Endorsements

Sec. 10.

(a) The following requirements apply to a CDL holder applying for a CDL endorsement:
(1) The applicant must pass the applicable knowledge examinations and CDL skills tests required for the specific class of license and endorsement sought.
(2) The applicant must pass the records checks required by 49 CFR 383.73 *.
(3) An applicant whose driving privileges are:
(A) disqualified;
(B) suspended;
(C) revoked;
(D) invalidated; or
(E) the subject of an equivalent action; is ineligible to apply for a CDL endorsement during the disqualification, suspension, revocation, invalidation, or equivalent action period.
(b) The hazardous materials endorsement knowledge test must be taken after applying for an initial CDL or a CDL renewal.
(c) CDL endorsement examinations passed are only valid for one hundred eighty (180) days after the examination date.
