Section 265.2400 - Food Servicesa) Each birth center shall have the capacity to provide mothers and families with appropriate nourishment and light snacks. The minimum equipment shall include a refrigerator (capable of maintaining a temperature of 45 degrees Fahrenheit or lower), microwave, sink, cupboard and counter space or equivalent.b) If food service is provided by the birth center or by contract with a food service provider, the following requirements shall be met:1) Food services shall comply with the Food Service Sanitation Code and any applicable local requirements.2) Meals shall be nutritionally balanced. The birth center shall work with clients to accommodate clients' preferences.3) Menus shall be planned and made available in advance of being served.4) A sufficient number of personnel shall be on duty to meet the dietary needs of the clients.c) Therapeutic or modified diets shall be followed as ordered by the physician.Ill.
