Section 310.230 - Adverse Witnessa) Any party or witness may be called as an adverse witness. In such a case, examination of the witness will be allowed as if under cross-examination.b) A witness called in good faith, whose testimony surprises the party calling the witness, can be examined as if under cross-examination, and the testimony of the witness may be impeached by prior statements.Ill.
