Section 360.510 - Assessment of Penaltiesa) Grounds. Pursuant to Section 0.05(a)(6) of the Act [205 ILCS 510/0.05(a)(6)], civil penalties may be imposed against any person for each violation of any provision of the Act, any rule promulgated in accordance with the Act, any State or federal law affecting pawnbrokers, or any order issued by the Secretary based upon the seriousness of the violation.b) Amount. The Secretary may assess civil penalties up to $10,000 for each day for each violation.c) Relevant Considerations. In determining the amount of the civil penalty to be assessed, the Secretary shall consider the gravity of the violation, the history of previous violations, the financial resources and good faith of the person, and any such other matters as justice may require.Ill.
