Section 1720.245 - Background Investigationa) The applicant shall authorize the Board, through the Department of State Police, to conduct a complete search of its criminal history records and those of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, including the National Instant Criminal Background Check System, and of the files of the Department of Human Services relating to mental health and developmental disabilities and to obtain records of any conviction or patient hospitalization or other medical information that would disqualify the applicant from obtaining a permit or require revocation of a currently valid FOID Card.b) A certification will not be issued if the results of the background investigation reveal a finding of guilt for a criminal offense or evidence of a disqualifying condition as specified in the Act or the FOID Card Act.Ill.
