Informal dispositions may be conducted in writing, by telephone or video, or in person, and may include individual contacts by or with the agency staff asking for information, advice, or assistance from the agency staff, or proposing informal resolution of formal disputes under the law administered by the agency. At any time following the presentment of an informal disposition to the presiding officer, the presiding officer may, including at the time of hearing, request additional information needed by the presiding officer to determine whether to render a decision in the contested case proceeding.
