Section 02.04.03.401 - PSEUDORABIES - PROCEDURES FOR CONTROL AND ERADICATION01.Laboratories. Blood, serum, tissues, or other samples are to be tested only by state/federal-approved laboratories.02.Supervision. State or federal veterinarians will supervise pseudorabies control and eradication efforts.03.Quarantines. Any herd in which any livestock has been determined to be infected with pseudorabies by an official pseudorabies test or diagnosed by a veterinarian as having pseudorabies will be placed under official state quarantine for pseudorabies. a. All swine on pseudorabies-infected premises shall be sold for slaughter under permit within fifteen (15) days of diagnosis.b. Livestock, other than swine, on pseudorabies infected premises shall be confined to the premises for a period of ten (10) days after the swine herd is sold for slaughter. Livestock, other than swine can, under permit, be moved to a separate holding area and be released from quarantine after a period of ten (10) days, if no signs of pseudorabies occur in the animals.Idaho Admin.
