Section 17-663-126 - Sponsored alien's responsibilities(a) During the period the alien is subject to deeming, the eligible sponsored alien shall be responsible for: (1) Obtaining the cooperation of his sponsor;(2) Providing the department with the information and documentation necessary to calculate deemed income and resources; and(3) Providing the names (or other identifying factors) of other aliens for whom the alien's sponsor has signed a legally binding affidavit of support on or after December 19, 1997.(b) If such information about other aliens for whom the sponsor is responsible is not provided to the department, the deemed income and resources amounts calculated shall be attributed to the applicant alien in their entirety until such time as the information is provided.(c) The alien shall be responsible for reporting the required information about the sponsor and sponsor's spouse should the alien obtain a different sponsor during the certification period and for reporting a change in income should the sponsor or the sponsor's spouse change or lose employment or become deceased during the certification period. Such changes shall be handled in accordance with the timeliness standards and procedures specified in chapter 17-680.Haw. Code R. § 17-663-126
