Section 15-185-57 - Ownership change
(a) A change in ownership of a dwelling unit under a HAP contract does not require execution of a new contract or lease. The corporation may approve the assignment of the HAP contract at the previous owner's request.
(b) The owner who is selling the dwelling unit shall provide written notice to the corporation at least thirty days prior to the sale closing.
(c) The new owner shall provide documents to verify the sale and other information requested by the corporation.
(d) Housing assistance payments to the owner who is selling the dwelling unit shall be suspended effective the first of the month following the receipt of the notification of the sale of the dwelling unit and when the assignment of the HAP contract to the new owner is approved by the corporation.
