Section 15-212-122 - Lifesaving equipment required Any small craft utilizing the waters of Kewalo Basin shall be equipped with lifesaving equipment as required by and approved by the United States Coast Guard. Wearable PFDS must be readily accessible and throw able devices must be immediately available for use.
(1) Boats sixteen feet or over in length shall carry one Type I, II, or III (wearable) PFD for each person on board and one Type IV (throw able) PFD in each boat; and(2) Boats less than sixteen feet in length and all canoes and kayaks shall carry one Type I, II, III or IV PFD for each person on board.Haw.
