Unless otherwise posted, the maximum speed for motor vehicles within the Kalaeloa Community Development District shall be twenty-five miles per hour. The speed limit may be thirty-five miles per hour in certain areas that were specifically designated for such speeds by the United States Navy and which speed limit may be maintained by the commission in its discretion. Persons who operate vehicles at speeds in excess of the maximum speed limit shall be subject to citation by the Honolulu Police Department.
