Section 13-170-50 - Jurisdiction over water quality(a) The department of health shall formulate a state water quality plan for all existing and potential sources of drinking water. Requirements for the plan shall be governed by chapters 340E and 342, Hawaii Revised Statutes.
(b) The department of health shall exercise the powers and duties vested in it for the administration of the state's water quality control program as provided by law.(c) The department of health may ban the importation of any substance which it reasonably believes may present a danger to the water quality of this state.[Eff.
