Section 13-94-1 - Purpose

It is the intention of the department to establish these rules for the conservation and management of bottomfish resources in the main Hawaiian Islands. Scientific studies indicate that certain bottomfish species should be managed and certain areas strictly regulated to conserve existing stocks.
