Requests for exemption from this chapter, or any part thereof, shall be made in writing to the director and shall contain a statement of reasons supporting the request. Exemptions may be granted for good cause. The department shall notify the USDOL of any such exemptions granted affecting a substantial number of employers and the reasons therefor.
