Section 11-88.1-4 - Rights of persons with developmental or intellectual disabilities

Persons with developmental or intellectual disabilities shall have the rights as those identified in section 333F-8, HRS. In addition:

(1) The division shall utilize its reporting and management process to collect information on adverse events.

(2) Should abuse or neglect be suspected, the division will report the incident to the appropriate authority.

(3) The division shall establish a policy and a process for reviewing and limiting the use of restraints or seclusion.
