(1) Computation of any period of time referred to in Chapter 6 of these Rules shall begin with the first day following the day on which the act that initiates such period of time occurs. When the last day of the period so computed is a day on which the office of the Hearing Officer's Clerk is closed, the period shall run until the end of the following business day.(2) Whenever a party has the right, or is required, to do some act or take some action within a prescribed period after the service of notice or other paper, other than process, issued by a court or the Hearing Officer upon the party by another party within a period prescribed by these Rules and not otherwise specified by law, three days shall be added to that prescribed period if the notice or paper is served by mail.Ga.
