Rule 54-3-.01 - Application(1) Any person who seeks to practice as an athlete agent shall apply for registration on forms which are available online through the Secretary of State's website, or will be provided upon request.(2) Any person who seeks to practice as an athlete agent shall submit an Application for Athlete Agent Registration.(3) Business Location. The applicant shall provide the Secretary of State with the street address of the principal place of business from which the applicant proposes to conduct business as an athlete agent.(4) Training and Experience. Each applicant shall submit affidavits or certificates of completion of any and all formal training and practical experience in any one of the following areas: (b) Contract negotiations,(c) Complaint resolution,(e) Civil resolution of contract disputes.(f) Persons without experience in at least one of the five (5) areas listed in this subsection may request in writing that the Secretary of State consider other relevant training and practical experience. The written request must set forth with particularity the specific training and practical experience which the applicant possesses and the applicant's reasons for requesting that the requirements of this subsection be waived. The Secretary of State, in its sole discretion, may accept other relevant training, education or experience that it deems to be appropriate.(5) An application must be completed within six (6) months of the date the first document was received by the Secretary of State. The Secretary of State will only approve qualified applicants who submit a complete file which consists of an Application for Athlete Agent Registration (with attached affidavits or certificates of completion), Surety Bond, and appropriate application fee.Ga.
