Rule 511-7-1-.02 - Administration of the Program(1) The Commissioner shall designate a Director to maintain overall oversight of the Program, responsible for the promotion, technical support, and standardization of the Program. The Director shall supervise Regional Volunteer Coordinators, as well as any other Department staff assigned to the Program.(2) Each Regional Volunteer Coordinator shall be assigned to a specific geographic region of the state of Georgia, as defined by the Department. The Regional Volunteer Coordinator shall be tasked with the following responsibilities: (a) Assists with recruiting Health Care Providers, negotiates Health Care Provider Contracts, and ensures appropriate license verification of the Health Care Provider upon initial entry into the Program and on an annual basis;(b) Reviews the status of Health Care Provider corporations upon initial entry into the Program and on an annual basis;(c) Monitors participating Health Care Providers through an administrative quality Assurance Program, as defined by the Department, to ensure compliance with the Program policies and procedures as well as with compliance with these Rules;(d) Establish processes to ensure participating volunteers allow participation by eligible individuals in the Program and that eligibility determination is documented appropriately;(e) Maintains a summary on a periodic basis, as defined by the Department, of the number of Volunteers, donated hours, and value of service rendered by Volunteers;(f) Conducts training on record retention, HIPAA, financial eligibility and patient referral procedures, and other state and federal mandates that impact the Program, and(g) Maintains a database documenting the participation of Health Care Providers and Volunteers participating in the Program.Ga.
