Rule 464-13-.25 - James Calloway Gang Investigator Certification

Definition: Any certified Peace officer of the state of Georgia or any political subdivision thereof whose primary job function is investigating criminal street gangs. Determination will be based on job function and not position title.

Each person applying for James Calloway Gang Investigator Certification must:

(a) be a certified, registered or exempt peace officer currently employed by a Georgia law enforcement agency recognized by the Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council;
(b) have successfully completed the required prerequisite, core, and elective courses conducted by a POST recognized training facility; and
(c) competency requirement: Upon successful completion of the training requirements above, officers must successfully complete the James Calloway Gang Investigator Oral Board prior to eligibility for this POST certification.
