Section 64B7-23.007 - Massage Therapy AssessmentA massage therapist must complete a massage therapy assessment to determine whether any proposed massage therapy treatment poses a significant health risk to the patient. An assessment, as defined in subsection 64B7-23.001(5), F.A.C., must include:
(1) A review of patient health goals and treatment outcome goals,(2) A review of indications and contraindications for any proposed massage therapy treatment using appropriate assessment methods, which may include: (a) Patient health intake forms;(b) The patient's stated level of health;(c) Patient interview, including patient stated goals;(h) Joint mobilization, stretching and range of motion measurement;(k) Functional limitations assessment;(l) Pain scale valuation;(m) Reviewing the report of a referring practitioner; and(n) Use of a quality of life assessment tool.Fla.
