The University shall ensure, to the maximum extent possible, that the personal safety and health of every employee of the University is of primary importance. The prevention of occupationally induced injuries and illnesses shall be given precedence over operating productivity whenever possible.
The University shall provide all mechanical and physical facilities required for personal safety and health in keeping with the highest standards.
The University shall maintain and enforce a safety and health program conforming with the best practices of institutions of higher learning.
The President, or a designee, shall have operational responsibility for the implementation of this section, including all required plans and procedures.
